After his basic medical education in his native India, Dr.Kutty had 3-4 years of internal medicine training in UK and obtained MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians of London. He arrived in Canada as Chief Resident at the Medical Teaching Unit at Regina General Hospital in 1975, subsequently did his 2 year GI fellowship at the University of Western Ontario then joined the faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St.John's in 1978. He was Associate Professor of Medicine, Head of Gastroenterology and Director in GI training program when he moved to private practice in Cambridge, Ontario in 1984. After retiring from Hospital Based Practice in Cambridge in 2008, he opened his private office in Brampton where he has been providing non-emergency GI Consultations and upper and lower GI endoscopy services. He holds FRCP© in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. He is also the President of Guruvayurappan Temple of Brampton, a Canadian Registered Charity.
